The president and first lady are two of the newest individuals to contract COVID-19 during this pandemic. On Saturday, September 26, the president hosted a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden to announce his U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Amy Coney Barrett. Many guests did not wear masks at the outdoor event that was quite packed. At least eight people who attended this ceremony have since tested positive for the coronavirus. House Votes to Approve Resolution to Condemn QAnon


On October 2, the House approved a resolution condemning QAnon, a movement that promotes governmental conspiracies and who has been encouraged by President Trump. It passed 371-18, with one GOP member voting present. Seventeen Republicans and one independent voted against the resolution. The resolution “condemns QAnon and rejects the conspiracy theories it promotes,” while also encouraging the FBI and law enforcement to focus on violence prevention from these extremists.
