Amazon-subsidiary Ring is recalling countless video doorbells after reports of them catching on fire. Nearly 350,000 2nd generation Ring doorbells and 8,700 sold in Canada (model number 5UM5E5) are recalled according to a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission report on November 10. These doorbells were sold on their website and on Amazon between June and October 2020. On Saturday, September 26, the president hosted a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden to announce his U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Amy Coney Barrett. House Votes to Approve Resolution to Condemn QAnon


On October 2, the House approved a resolution condemning QAnon, a movement that promotes governmental conspiracies and who has been encouraged by President Trump. It passed 371-18, with one GOP member voting present. Seventeen Republicans and one independent voted against the resolution. The resolution “condemns QAnon and rejects the conspiracy theories it promotes,” while also encouraging the FBI and law enforcement to focus on violence prevention from these extremists. Weeks of dry and hot weather have led to historic wildfires across the West Coast. Nearly 4.7 million acres have been destroyed. Red flag warnings are in place from Northern California into Southern Oregon, where fire danger still remains high. Thankfully, air conditions are beginning to improve there. 16,500 firefighters alone are fighting over two dozen large fires in the State of California. DMV Extends Extension For Driver’s Licenses And ID Cards

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to problems with Motor Vehicle Commissions across the country, including the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles. They have added additional extensions for expired or soon-to-be expired driver’s licenses and identification cards. Some locations also are offering new and limited Saturday hours for new Nevada residents from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., starting September 19. In 2004, Scott Peterson was convicted of first-degree murder of his pregnant wife, Laci, and of second-degree murder of his unborn son, Conner in California. In 2005, he was sentenced to death by lethal injection. His case was put on automatic appeal to the Supreme Court of California and on August 24, 2002 the death penalty for him was overturned by the court. Siya Kakkar was a teenage TikTok influencer who rose to fame on social media. She was known for sharing music clips of herself dancing. She had nearly 1.1 million followers on Tiktok at the time of her date on June 24 from suicide. Since her death, her followers count has risen to nearly two million.
